The fund’s assets are invested in the Vanguard Japan Stock Index Fund managed by Vanguard Investments Europe SA, registered and supervised in Ireland. The target fund is an index fund according to the UCITS Directive, based on an equity portfolio in line with the MSCI Japan Net Return Index.
The MSCI Japan Net Return Index of the Fund and its underlying fund does not take sustainability risks into account. As the investment strategy of the Fund’s underlying fund is to track the index, the Fund’s and its underlying fund’s investment decisions do not take sustainability risks into account. Although sustainability aspects are not directly included in the investment process of the Fund’s underlying fund, the Vanguard Group of Companies’ Investment Stewardship team influences the governance of the portfolio companies of the equity funds managed by Vanguard. The investments underlying the remaining portion of this financial product do not take into account the EU criteria for environmentally sustainable economic activities.
